| International Radio has not performed amateur radio equipment repairs
or modifications for many years. We frequently receive requests to do
installation of Inrad filters and mods. Unfortunately, we are neither
equipped nor staffed to do this type of work.
Some of our newer kits, such as the roofing filters for the
IC-756PRO/2/3 series of radios, require working with SMD components
and a greater level of skill than some of our older plug-and-play
kits, such as the roofing filter mod for the original FT-1000MP.
You will have to use your own judgement to decide whether doing the
work yourself is the right decision for you. If you feel it would be
better to send the work to someone else to perform, we are pleased to
provide a list of shops that have offered to install Inrad products.
In fact, we send our personal business to these shops on occasion.
Before choosing a repair service, we suggest looking in the product

site. There is a specific section dedicated to Amateur Radio Equipment
Repair. We understand that product review web sites are not
perfect, but taking in a broad spectrum of viewpoints is often helpful
when making a buying decision.
