Many international shipments require a telephone number, as do domestic shipments via overnight and 2nd day service. The banks use your telephone number as one of their mechanisms to approve credit card charges.
We need your email address to acknowledge your order, and then later to confirm that your order has been shipped.
We dislike junk email -- we don't like to receive it and we don't intend to make the problem worse by generating it.
